Lasercut Works

Project Scope: Blog

At Lasercut Works were are often asked to laser cut and fabricate installations to be used in interior spaces. Adding a bold laser cut or engraved piece made out of wood, perspex or metal can greatly enhance any space whether in an office space, a bar or on the shop floor of a department store. Below we’ve listed some great interior spaces that have been helped by the beauty of laser cutting, including some of our own work!

We love how the fretwork of this screen has been cleverly incorporated into the design of this interior. This design has been created from 3 sheets of laser cut metal to form the banister of a staircase allowing for a unique design as well as the illusion of more room in this small space.

This next interior inspiration comes from a project that we at Lasercut Works carried out. We loved working on this specific project where we used one of our machines to engrave these pieces of beautiful wood with the Bulleit Bourbon logo which was commissioned for the front of a bar in the interior of a space in London. The laser has created a burnt effect on the wood which we think works really well for the brand.

The interior of the Royal Plaza Hotel, Hong Kong is particularly intriguing with this very modern take on fretwork design in dark wood to create partitions in this luxurious space.

This beautifully bright and bold office space would make anyone want to get up for work in the morning! The space features engraved elements in the desk for conveniently placing your iPad as well as screens, laser cut in a quirky forest design.

Another one of our own commissions was for the interior of Harrods where we transformed one of their shopping spaces for Valentine’s Day. Large pieces of sumptuously red and gold pieces of wood and perspex were laser cut in hearts and birds adorning the famous Harrods logo. We were involved in the complete fabrication of this project!

The technique of laser cutting can bring tangible texture into spaces in ways that traditional furnishings and wallpapers can’t. Like in these wall panels, by London based interior designer Anne Kyyro Quinn, which have been made with 100% wool in a beautiful grey colour.

Here at Lasercut Works we truly believe that laser cutting and engraving can enhance interior spaces in a modern way that’s bang on trend right now!
