3D Printed Footwear: Under Armour Trainers

April 18, 2016

Here at LaserCut WORKS we love seeing new and innovative designs using laser cutting and 3D printing, especially when these techniques can influence the fashion and technology worlds.

The latest 3D printed offering comes from American Sportswear brand Under Armour who have created their “Architect” sports shoe with 3D printed soles.

According to Under Armour, the intricate lattice soles of these “Architect” trainers can cushion your feet during any sport. Furthermore, the company claim that 3D printing is the only way that this unique cushioned sole could have been created. In the future, other sportswear brands like Adidas and New Balance hope to develop technology that can create 3D printed trainers unique to each individual wearer’s foot pressure.
